Dermaplaning is a precise, noninvasive exfoliation technique. A trained esthetician uses a sterile professional blade to gently remove the outermost layer of dull surface cells and fine vellus hair. Dermaplaning is generally considered a gentle treatment. Guests commonly describe the sensation as light scraping across the skin rather than pain.
Will facial hair grow back thicker or darker?
Dermaplaning removes fine hair at the skin’s surface and does not change the hair follicle. It does not cause vellus hair to become thicker or darker.
Is there downtime?
